The Civic Engagement Committee’s focus is to involve young professionals in public affairs by promoting awareness of public policy and government relations issues in a nonpartisan manner. By seeking to simultaneously inform and engage young professionals in this region, the Civic Engagement Committee strives to elevate the visibility of young professionals in the eyes of present leaders of all ages throughout the Greater Cincinnati region, the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the nation.
Over the years, the Civic Engagement Committee has organized an annual speaker series entitled "Leaders for a New Generation", a shadowing program between young professionals, elected officials and innovative civic leaders. In the past this committee has hosted such speakers as Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson and America’s youngest big city mayor, Pittsburgh’s Mayor Luke Ravenstahl.
